The effect of the sauna on the body is multifaceted. Due to the effect of high temperature (60 to 110 °C, minimum air humidity of 10 to 30%), considerable blood circulation of the skin occurs.

The sauna regulates the blood pressure to a large extent (people with higher blood pressure must use the sauna very carefully) and the body temperature increases on average by 1 to 2°C.
